Two of us started IndiCulture, and everyone else who hosts with us is someone we know personally. We sit in their kitchen long before we introduce them, we agree what they earn before anything is booked, and we only ask people we would happily send our own family to. They are the reason any of this is worth doing.

IndiHome is our family homestay in Jaipur — a few rooms, a courtyard, and hosts who send you out into the city in the morning and have something warm waiting when you come back. It is not open yet. Leave your email and you will be among the first to know when it is.

Is Rajasthan safe for solo female travellers?
A good number of our travellers are women traveling alone. You are met at an agreed place, you know your host's name, household and work before you book, and someone from IndiCulture is reachable by phone the whole time you are with us. We will also tell you plainly which parts of a plan we would not recommend doing alone after dark.
When is the best time to visit Rajasthan?
October to March is comfortable across the state, and it is when most of our journeys run. Ranthambore's tiger parks stay open into April. April to June is very hot, and July to September brings the monsoon — both are quieter and cheaper, and we will say so honestly if you ask about those months.
How much do cultural experiences in Jaipur cost?
The Pink City bazaar walk starts at ₹2,199 per person and a hands-on cooking class at ₹2,499, with private options for two. Our food walks are quoted per booking while we finalise them, and multi-day Rajasthan journeys are priced per itinerary. We tell you what the host receives before you book — it is the largest share.
Can I book a cultural experience without staying with you?
Yes. Every experience can be booked on its own, whether you are staying in a hotel, with friends, or passing through Jaipur for a day.
Do I need to speak Hindi to travel in Rajasthan?
No — your host or a companion will speak English throughout. If you would like to arrive with some of the language, we run online Hindi classes before you travel and in-person lessons in Jaipur, both with hindihour.com.
Can you cater for vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs?
Yes. Vegetarian and vegan cooking is ordinary here rather than a special request. Tell us about allergies when you enquire and we confirm with the household before anything is booked.
What should I wear in Rajasthan?
Comfortable clothes that cover shoulders and knees are appropriate almost everywhere, and shoes you can slip off easily indoors and in temples. In winter, evenings in the desert get genuinely cold.
What is your cancellation policy?
Write to us as early as you can. Our cancellation terms are set out in full before you pay, and we will always tell you what is and is not refundable.
